CALIFORNIA’S FREELANCE WORKER PROTECTION ACT (FWPA)

California Governor Gavin Newsome signed SB 988, the Freelance Worker Protection Act (FWPA), into law on September 28, 2024, with an effective date of January 1, 2025.
