PAID SICK TIME (PST) REQUEST FOR NEBRASKA PAYROLL ASSOCIATES:

Effective October 01, 2025, Atrium Associates who work 80 hours of consecutive employment are eligible to accrue sick time on all hours worked at a rate of one (1) hour of earned sick time for every 30 hours worked and can use up to a maximum of 56 Sick Leave Hours. Atrium’s calendar year is defined as January 1 to December 31.

Up to 56 hours of earned but unused PST may be carried forward into a new calendar year. Paid sick time may be taken in one (1) hour increments. If the sick leave is foreseeable, you must verbally notify your immediate supervisor and Atrium representative no more than seven days in advance of the need for leave. PST is paid at your current hourly rate.

If your assignment ends at any point, earned but unused PST is not paid out. If you go back to work within twelve (12) months, and have met the eligibility requirements, earned unused sick time accrued before the break in service will be reinstated.

Reason for request:*
- An employee’s or a family member’s illness, injury, preventive care, medical diagnosis, treatment, or related school/child-care meetings
- Business or school closures caused by a public health emergency
- Self-isolation or caretaking prompted by exposure to a communicable disease
Eligibility Requirements:
Your PST request will be reviewed by Payroll to ensure eligibility requirements have been met. Please allow 7-14 business days for approval and processing of payment. If eligibility requirements are not met, Payroll will contact you.
